Nostradamus predicts the future in education - August 2012

Well - with Nostradamus sunning himself in a foreign clime, I stand in with a few questions....

1.     How long will it be before teaching becomes more talked about than leadership in the
        education sector?
2.     When will we have the first major conference on pedagogy?
3.     Will Teach First continue to be very popular with graduates when the economy starts to pick up?
4.     When will the first paid governors be discovered?
5.     Will we have a return to norm referencing, when x% of the population get As, Y% get Bs etc?
6.     Will we have the warmest September ever?
7.     Will there now be a rush for comprehensives to provide better sporting opportunities than their
rival independent schools up the road?  In Guildford, George Abbot (comprehensive) has more
Olympians than the Royal Grammar (independent) School does.  Shock and awe.
8.     Which education conference will be the first to get Jessica Ennis on the platform?
9.     Will the Serco/Capita duopoly be broken in the next 12 months?
10.    When will the NUT change their official position on academies?

My predicted answers: 1. End of 2013  2. February 2013  3. Yes  4. Sept 2013  5. Not officially  6. Yes  7. Oh yes  8. NCSL 9. No chance  10. Not yet
